Terms and conditions for use of the Central & Eastern Europe & Central Asia Resource Hub on Business & Human Rights (CEECA Resource Hub) 

Content and Copyright

You agree that the content you post on the site will be reposted automatically in emails digest or newsletters, RSS feeds and in the CEECA Resource Hub profiles or that of its member organisations of other Social Network websites such as, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin.

Copyrighted material, including without limitation software, graphics, text, photographs, sound, video and musical recordings, may not be placed on the Site without the express permission of the owner of the material’s copyright or other legal entitlement to use the material.

The Site may contain errors and omissions relating to content and items. The CEECA Resource Hub reserves to itself the right to correct errors or omissions without prior notice. The CEECA Resource Hub also reserves to itself the right to cancel any content or item in the event of an error or omission in the description without prior notice.

You will not damage or delete any content posted on the Site. The CEECA Resource Hub and/or its member organisations can nominate people to moderate and control (including editing or deleting) the content posted on the Site.

The Site may include hypertext links to websites maintained or controlled by others. The CEECA Resource Hub and its member organisations are not responsible for, and do not routinely screen, approve, review or endorse, the contents of or use of any of the products or services that may be offered at these sites.

The logos, name and all graphics on the Site of the CEECA Resource Hub, its member organisations or its affiliates, are trademarks of the CEECA Resource Hub, its member organisations or its affiliates. The use, the reproduction, the copy or the redistribution of trademarks, without the written permission of the CEECA Resource Hub , its member organisation, or its affiliates, are strictly prohibited. All other trademarks or service marks appearing on the Site are the marks of their respective owners.

The CEECA Resource Hub and its member organisations respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe your copyright has been violated on the Site, please give notice.

Online Conduct

You are expected to show respect for orders and their dignity. You agree to use the Site in accordance with all applicable laws. You further agree that you will not use any of the services or information provided on the Site to e-mail or post any of the following content anywhere on the Site to any other person via e-mail, postal mail, phone or other sites:

• Content that is hateful, offensive, threatening, libelous, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, pornographic, profane or otherwise objectionable content;
• Content that infringes upon another’s intellectual property, including, but not limited to, copyrights, trademarks or trade secrets.

You will not upload any content that contains a software virus, “Trojan Horse” or any other computer code, files, or programs that may alter, damage, or interrupt the functionality of the Site or the hardware or software of any other person who accesses the Site; You may not attempt to use or distribute tools designed for compromising security or take any action to compromise the security of the Site. Examples of these tools include, but are not limited to, password guessing programs, cracking tools or network probing tools. You may not “flood” or disrupt the Site through any means or process.

You will not claim a relationship with or speak for any business, association, or other organisation for which you are not authorised to claim such a relationship.

You agree that you will not access or attempt to access any other user’s account, or misrepresent or attempt to misrepresent your identity while using the Site.

Limitation of Liability

Although the CEECA Resource Hub and its member organisations make every effort to provide useful and accurate information and services, the Site and any information, products or services therein are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including without limitation, the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for use of a particular purpose, or non-infringement. The CEECA Resource Hub and its member organisations do not warrant, and hereby disclaims any warranties, either express or implied, with respect to the accuracy, adequacy or completeness of any site, information obtained from a site, or link to a site. The CEECA Resource Hub and its member organisations do not warrant that the Site will operate in an uninterrupted or error-free manner or that the Site is free of viruses or other harmful components. The use of information obtained from or through this Site is to be managed solely at your own risk and under your responsibility. 

You agree that the CEECA Resource Hub and its member organisations will not be liable for any loss or damages, either actual or consequential, arising out of or relating to these terms, or to your (or any third party’s) use or inability to use the Site, or to your placement of content on the Site, or to your reliance upon information obtained from or through the Site. In particular, the CEECA Resource Hub and its member organisations will have no liability for any consequential, indirect, punitive, special or incidental damages, whether foreseeable or unforeseeable, (including, but not limited to, claims for defamation, errors, mis-use of email or other services, loss of data, or interruption in availability of data), arising out of, or relating to, these terms, your use or inability to use the Site, or any activity on this Site, or your placement of content on the Site, or to your reliance upon information obtained from or through the Site, whether based in contract, tort, statutory or other law, except only in the case of death or personal injury where and only to the extent that applicable law requires such liability.

The CEECA Resource Hub and its member organisations make no representation regarding your ability to transmit and receive information from or through the Site; you agree and acknowledge that your ability to access the Site may be impaired. The CEECA Resource Hub and its member organisations disclaim any and all liability resulting from, or related to, such events.

You agree to indemnify and hold the CEECA Resource Hub, its member organisations, and its moderators harmless from any claims, losses or damages, including legal fees, resulting from your violation of these Terms, your use of the site or your placement of any content onto a site, and to fully cooperate in the CEECA Resource Hub defense against any such claims.

Cookies Policy

A cookie is a small amount of data, which includes a unique identifier that is sent to your computer browser from a website’s server and is stored on your device’s hard drive. Each website can send its own cookie to your browser if your browser’s preferences allow it, but your browser only permits a website to access the cookies it has already sent to you, not the cookies sent to you by other websites. From our server you will receive our cookies and the cookies needed by our technical partner to perform analysis on the use of the website. No other third parties’ cookies are sent to you by our server.

On the CEECA Resource Hub website, cookies record information about your visits for statistics purposes only. Our cookies do not contain or retrieve personal data. No other info is being collected.

Account and Privacy

Upon registering an account on the Site you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer; you also agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. Furthermore, you agree that registration information and updates you provide on the Site will be accurate and complete.

You agree that some information of your user account (related to geographical and professional data) is used for the creation of the Site’s services and statistics.

Personal and professional information sharing is provided and allowed bona fide for occupational and statistical purposes in the general interest of the CEECA Resource Hub and its member organisations. 

Information sharing involves: the Site’s registered members, members of the CEECA Resource Hub member organisations, and trusted third parties. For further information please refer to the Privacy Policy statement.

Disclaimer

You may use the Site for legal purposes only. Furthermore you agree that, if a third party claims that any material you have contributed to the Site is unlawful, you will bear the burden of establishing that the material complies with all applicable laws.

The CEECA Resource Hub and its member organisations have the right to remove/modify material from the Site, block access, or take other action with respect to the Material at its sole discretion, although the CEECA Resource Hub and its member organisations are under no obligation to do so.

The Site may include non-moderated forums containing the personal opinions and other expressions of the persons who post entries or contribute to the content on a wide range of topics. The content of the Site, including the contributions of its members, guests and visitors, may be screened, approved, reviewed or endorsed by the entrusted persons nominated by the CEECA Resource Hub or its member organisations.

Modification of the Agreement

The CEECA Resource Hub and its member organisations reserve the right to modify these terms at any time and will publish notice of any such modifications on-the Site or elsewhere on-line. By continuing to access the Site after the relative notice is published you consent to be bound by them.
