Dr. Olena Uvarova, Ph.D, Associate Professor, Chair of the International Lab on Business and Human Rights at NLU. She also leads the Projects and Research Support Center at NLU.
Since 2009, she teaches law at Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University. In 2019-2020, she was a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at Tanner Humanities Center (University of Utah, U.S.). She is also a member of the editorial board of the journal “Philosophy of Law and General Theory of Law” (EBSCO Publishing).
In 2017-2018 she was coordinator of the project “Business Human Rights Responsibilities: Experience of the V4 and Baltic Countries for Ukraine”. In 2018-2019 Olena Uvarova was Coordinator of the project “Business and Human Rights (Curriculum for law students)”.
 
In 2019 prof. Uvarova developed the National Baseline Assessment of Business and Human Rights in Ukraine on request of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine. In 2017-2020 she organized and moderated the Panel discussions on Business and Human rights during the Kharkiv International Legal Forum with a total number of participants 140 / each

Training together with the Danish Institute for Human Rights “Business and Human Rights for the National Institution on Human Rights Protection” (April 2019, Kyiv)

Sessions on BHR in the context of the rule of law within the Certificate program “Practical course on Rule of law for legal practitioners” together with South Carolina University (2018-2019, 2019-2020, 2020-2021)

Training course "Applying Human Rights to Digital Tech" in cooperation with CSO "Public Alternative" supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ukraine (March - June 2021)

Training course “Business, Corporations and Human Rights according to the European Convention for Human Rights” join with ECHR Judge Paulo Pinto de Albuquerque (March-May 2020)

Training course “Gender equality for law students”, the first training course on gender equality in law schools in Ukraine (September-December 2018)
